The Bible Is Blueprint For Ghanas Development

The Founder of the Crossover Transformation Group in South Africa, Mr Patrick Kuwana, says God has given the Church the ability to implement transformation in the nation using the Bible as a tool.

According to him, the word of God has the power to transform and shape the Ghanaian society only if Ghanaians allow biblical principles to guide them.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the African Biblical Leadership Initiative Ghana (ABLI-Ghana) in Accra last Tuesday on the theme: “Leadership for National Transformation", Mr Kuwana stated that Ghana could achieve her full potential if the Bible was placed at the centre of its development.

He noted that the Bible was the most relevant economics and business manual and urged Ghanaian leaders to study it, adding that it held the key to the change that God had entrusted to them for Ghana.

Mr Kuwana, who described the Bible as a blueprint for successfully managing the country's economics, family and government, said countries had been destroyed because of the lack of knowledge and disobedience.

"For as long as businesses and the economy are operated by unbiblical principles, we will continue to see churches mushrooming all over Africa and yet see very little positive socio-economic impact as a result," he said.

He said the forum would empower Ghanaian leaders by emphasising integrity, compassion and justice from the Bible’s point.

National strategy
Mr Kuwana stated that the country needed to establish a national strategy based on biblical principles and agreed by all, with which politicians would be allowed to campaign.

He bemoaned the current regime of new strategies being presented at every election campaign but yet never implemented.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic, the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Edward Doe Adjaho, underscored the need for Christians in leadership to be guided by biblical principles, saying that it would guard and guide their ways.
