Massive �Pick-Pocket-Free� Bakatue Festival Float In Elmina

Unlike the capital city where one would have heard of several reports on theft and casualties, the Edina Bakatue 2015 recorded a massive casualty free float ahead of their street carnival last Thursday night.

The Bakatue Festival 2015 was celebrated in style due to the peace and tranquility which has existed in the area after the settlement of chieftaincy issues.

The float had both the young and the old dancing and making merry to show and tell tourists and visitors the reason it one of the well cultured, fun packed festivals in Ghana.

The float lasted for close to five hours bringing the town Edina in a unified atmosphere. ‘This is very exciting and I’m really having fun. We thank God for another year and it my prayer this peace and unity will be spread out to the rest of the country and Africa at large’- a charged native of Edina chipped in.

The Bakatue festival is an annual festival that is celebrated by the people of Elmina (Edina) in the month of July every year.
