Aston Villa Offer 12m For Jordan

Multiple sources have confirmed that Lorient have accepted Aston Villa’s bid for Jordan Ayew.
The former Olympique Marseille striker, who played himself back into the spotlight last season, has long wanted to feature in the English Premier League.

The dream came closer in the last few days as concrete rumours surfaced that Villa wanted the Ghanaian to replace Christian Benteke, who was sold to Liverpool for a fee reportedly in excess of £32m.

Villa Park sources on Friday morning told Joy Sports that a £12million bid has been accepted for the 23-year-old son of the legendary Ghanaian footballer, Abedi Ayew Pele.
Jordan scored 13 goals in 28 appearances for the French side last season.

Brother of new Swansea City forward Andre Ayew, Jordan, is also said to have been inspired by the prospect of a bigger audience and a more competitive league in his burgeoning career.
Jordan was acquired by Lorient on a permanent deal from Marseille in July 2014 and his contract expires in 2018.

Ayew family sources could not be reached for comment at press time.
However, sources say Jordan is making arrangements to fly to Birmingham “sometime this weekend” for further negotiations on personal terms and then a medical, if all is agreed.
