Whitney Boakye-Mensah Tells Her Story

If you don't know my story, you won't understand my praise!! Exactly 8 years ago today, a family friend called me that she wanted to have a talk with me, I went over and was told how my hubby was going to sack me and bring a new woman in if I don't have a baby soon, apparently it didn't matter that I had lost some pregnancies, I didn't have a trophy of a child to show off so I was not woman enough! !

Leaving her place, I walked the streets of Dansoman crying, talking to my self like a mad woman, asking, asking, why us? I lost interest in my self, I just didn't care anymore, not even the constant assurance from hubby that one day our prayers will be heard, society has a way of putting immense pressure on you that you actually go crazy, thank God for partners who understand, we prayed, cried, but we never gave up the faith, from prayer meetings to camps, real men of God, fake ones, supposed friends who talk and laugh behind you, not caring if people heard, the pain, the cry, but we discovered the best kind of prayer was the one we did our selves!!

Social media can be malicious, but the ones we inspire, pray with, counsel are worth knowing, don't loose hope yet, in your pain God knows and hears you, block out the mockery, enjoy God and your partner, live life, and before you know it, the possibility maker will make it possible! ! If don't know my story, you won't understand my praise! !! Imela, Aseda!!
