Communications Director of NPP appendage “Save NPP Now”; Mr. Baah Acheamfour has called on the party’s flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not to pencil a former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Peter Mac Manu as possible head of his 2016 campaign.

He argues that should the former chairman be selected as campaign manager for the NPP, the party will remain in opposition.

Peter Mac Manu has been tipped to head the Party’s campaign team for the 2016 general elections.

The former chairman has been seen by many within the NPP as one of its best past chairmen in the party – therefore, his leadership will lead what is expected to be a solid campaign that should guarantee flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo victory in the 2016 presidential election.

But the NPP activist in an interview with Akwasi Aboagye on NEAT FM, sharply disagreed.

“Mac Manu will be a disaster for Nana Addo’s campaign team. I will be very sad if Nana Addo appoints him,” he said. 

According to Baah Acheamfour – “there are competent people within the party to occupy that position” – though he failed to name his preferred choice.
