DCE Extols Achievements

The Juaboso district is witnessing impressive developmental projects under the leadership of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Kingsley Asoa-Apimah and for that matter the governance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Since 2013, several communities have benefited from projects in the area of health, education, road construction and other social amenities.

In an interview with the DCE, he highlighted several completed projects including a 3-unit classroom block at a community called Asempaneye, a four-unit teachers quarters at Benchema, a six-unit classroom block at Bonsu Nkwanta, six-unit classroom bock at Boizan community, teachers quarters and an extension of electricity to Kwaokrom and the supply of 3,000 dual desks to schools in the district.

Others include a six-unit classroom block under the district common fund at communities including Dominibo and Yagyenkro and a three-unit classroom block each for communities including Elluibo, Komiamaa and Sayerano.

The assembly he further stated has facilitated the construction of a four-unit nurses quarters at Bonsu Nkwanta, a 12-unit pour flash toilet at Dwaboso, a 1,200mm double covert at Eteso junction to Eteso road, a 36-unit lockable market stores at Dwaboso and a 12-unit lockable market stores at Broso.

Apart from the forgoing, other projects yet to be executed by the assembly, the DCE underscored are the establishment of a CHPS compound at communities including Antobea, Kwawkrom, Brukrom, Eteso and Adwumamu.

The assembly, he noted, is poised towards making possible the provision of 24 classrooms for a good number of schools in the district, the construction a market at Benchema Barrier, the completion of the construction of Dwaboso town sports complex and that of Juaboso Senior High and basic school.

The DCE pointed out that the assembly under his leadership is determined to ensure that the district is marked as a proud recipient of every aspect of development which forms part of the “Better Ghana Agenda” policy of the ruling NDC, further noting that all remote communities falling within the district will soon be upgraded to the desired taste of residents.

Mr Asoa-Apimah underlined some key challenges delaying the execution of projects in the district as the late disbursement of the Common Fund by government and inadequate internally generated funds.

He has, therefore, appealed to government to address them as a matter of urgency so that more developmental projects would be carried out for Ghanaians to witness the good works done by the NDC. He again called on residents to demonstrate commitment to the payment of their taxes and levies to the assembly.
