Four sports enthusiasts have been nominated to serve on the Volta Regional Sports Council. They are Miss Doris Afari, representing Women and Girls Sports, Mr Joe Ayivor, representing the business community, Mr Innocent Gavua of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC). A representative of the 66 Artillery Regiment is to be the other member of the Council. A release signed by Mr Gabriel Yao Missodey, Regional Sports Development Officer and copied to the GNA Sports in Ho said the nominees were selected after consultations with the VRCC and the Regional Sports Authorities. It said the nominees would be expected to formulate avenues to develop the various sports disciplines in the Region and the country.
