2016 Election: The Battle Is Not Between Nana Addo And Prez Mahama Until... - Musah Superior

Musah Superior, a special aide to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that, the 2016 Presidential Election will not be between his boss – Nana Addo and President Mahama until the president wins his internal primaries.

Many have noted that the President has no contest in his party’s upcoming presidential primaries – despite George Boateng’s intention to race with the president.

George Boateng has been sidelined for picking a drafted presidential nomination form from the party’s headquarters in Accra – he has promised to pick the original form but the party might not sell out the form to him after General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah described him as a “mentally disabled” presidential aspirant.

This has raised issues that – President John Dramani Mahama after filing his form yesterday will go unopposed in the November 7th primaries – thus, the 2016 presidential election will be between already elected flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Addo and NDC’s President Mahama.

But Musah Superior thinks differently on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie" – according to him President Mahama is not yet the 2016 flagbearer of the NDC.

He opined that the NDC must be fair to allow a contest between the president and George Boateng – “Trust me, people in the NDC would vote for him [George] if they give him the chance to contest.”

“2016 presidential election will not be between Nana Addo and President Mahama. The NDC has no flagbearer,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
