Chief Justice Must Review The Election Petition Verdict; The Panelists Were Financially Induced

Following the recent expose of rot in the judiciary, we have listened to many opinions and have gone beyond gathering proof in connection to the Presidential Election verdict which was delivered by Atuguba. In fact, the panelists were financially induced to add their voice to what the Electoral Commission declared. Sincerely, we must say that it is paramount for the sake of posterity; CITIZENS AWAKE FORUM (CAF) suggests that the Chief Justice must review the Election Petition Verdict before we blow the minds of Ghanaians with the excerpts of tapes in our possession. If we recall, a former deputy minister alleged that Tony Lithurs wife played a pivotal role in making sure that the panelists delivered the judgment to their preferred choice. Therefore, the recent bribery scandal at the lower courts really confirms what is obvious, indeed, justices is mainly for people with the financial muscles. It is rather unfortunate that justices whom the constitution mandates to administer judgment without fear or favor are the same justices who takes bribe to free the guilt and sentences the innocence. Comrades, today, if Justices Arku Korsah, Sarkodee, Akufo Addo, Abban all of Blessed Memory who showed a complete dedication towards the administration of justices should wake up from their grave, they would certainly bow down their head in shame. Undoubtedly, the current crops of judges we see in white wigs are just dishonest. It was not surprise that AJET NASSAM DISHONESTLY FREED WOYOME, a man who fraudulently bagged away with 51.2 million cedis of the tax payers money without a sweat. It is a known fact that Raymond Atuguba, the executive secretary to the President said that he once lived with a judge whose home people visited with all kinds of inducement in order to obtain favor. Comrades, we are made to live in a situation where all the ARMS OF THE GOVERNMENT, BE IT THE EXECUTIVE, THE JUDICIARY, THE LEGISLATURE ARE ALL CORRUPT AND THIEVES. If we recall events that took place during the 2012 Election Petition Hearing, it was evidently clear that over voting took place in certain polling stations. But for the Presiding judge to rule the case in favor of the President outright really tells you how compromise judges can be. It must be emphasized once small that our judicial system is there for the rich. Nobody like me can obtain a fair ruling from court. Now, our so called Justices have given us a reason to consult the deity for justices any time we feel cheated in the court. As it is, the judicial corruption in Ghana is no longer a perception. Innocent Ghanaians who for one reason or the other could not pay bribe are in the dungeon suffering. Sincerely, the Chief Justice should review cases to bring back proper justices to certain individuals who are in the dungeons anguishing. We pray that the Almighty ALLAH would protect and bring them back to society in the shortest possible time. To avoid any further embarrassment and for the sake of posterity, CAF is calling on the Chief Justice to personally review the Judgment which was delivered by the Presiding judge during the Election Petition Hearing. Long Live CAF! Long live Ghana! God bless us all! Kojo Smith, the Executive Director of CAF John D. Ofori Attahh (Foreign Relations) Rubin Kwame Ayisi (Operations)
