Several areas of the capital were submerged in water early Friday morning.

Hours of heavy downpour left some pedestrians and vehicle drivers stranded on various streets as the streets were over flooded.

Areas like Dome, Kwabenya, Nima, Achimota-Mile 7, the Graphic road among others were hit by floods this morning during the torrential rainfalls.

Though no casualties have been recorded, the rains resulted in a heavy impact gridlock on the streets of the capital with traffic poles falling off.
