Two Parliamentary Aspirants Declare Support For Ezenator Rawlings

Two parliamentary hopefuls, Leeford Kpakpo Quarshie, who was disqualified by the vetting committee of the NDC and Mr Samuel Constant Kwaku who is already in the race, have thrown their support to Dr Ezenator Rawlings.

At a press conference last Friday, Mr Samuel Constant Kwaku, indicated his readiness to work for Dr Ezenator Rawlings to enable the party retain the seat in 2016 general elections.

He made this declaration after he withdrew from the race and urged all his supporters to support Dr Ezenator Rawlings. He said it was important to close ranks and work together to ensure that Dr Rawlings’ dream of retaining the Klottey Korley seat for the ruling NDC becomes a reality.

He said the people of the constituency needed change in leadership and a true representative in Parliament and it was only Dr Ezenator Rawlings who could effect that change.

“I have a lot of respect for Nii Armah Ashietey but I think he has done his bit and, therefore, it is time for him to step down for someone else to step in.” Mr Kwaku stated that he had listened to her on some television stations and other platforms when she granted interviews and what he heard her talk about meant that both of them shared the same values and vision, hence his decision.

He denied the notion that he had been coerced by Dr Ezenator Rawlings’ camp to step down. This brings to two the number of contestants in the constituency who has thrown their weight behind Dr Ezenator Rawlings.
