Societe Generale Launches "The Final Countdown Promotion"

Societe Generale (SG) Ghana, a banking institution, has launched a customer-focused deposit and win campaign called: “The Final Countdown promotion.”

The campaign is meant to give customers the chance to multiply or quadruple or double the cash they deposit.

The promotion, which reinforces the Bank’s strategy of innovation, introduces the element of “beating the clock,” and encourages all potential customers to rush in order to win more money that they could choose to save.

"The Final Countdown Promotion" runs from November 12, 2015 to January 22, 2016, and requires customers to make unlimited fresh minimum deposits of GH₡ 200.00, and fill an entry form for each deposit made, to confirm their participation in the promotion.

They are to leave the monies in the account until February 22, 2016, for full benefits in both the mini and grand draws.

Mr Sionle Yeo, Managing Director of SG, gave a brief history of previous promotions such as the “Power of 250 promotions” it embarked on last year, and said the current promotion seeks to keep up the spirit of rewarding more customers of the bank.

He said the Bank places much emphasis on its core values of working tirelessly to become the preferred banking institution by employing innovation, team spirit, responsibility and commitment to ensure customer satisfaction, hence the creation of promotion.

“We promise to bring you nothing less than effective and useful financial solutions with fantastic promotions,” he said.

Mr Francois Marchal, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank, said the promotion, is in line with the institution’s initiative to inspire a culture of saving in customers and encourage potential customers to save.

Mr Fredrick Addy, Head of Segment and Product Development of the Bank, emphasised that with each deposit, the customer has to fill the final countdown form, to confirm his her her choice to participate in the promotion, and explained that a hold would be placed on the deposited amount until the end of the campaign period.

He said the fun element of the promotion would engage a competition in customers and make depositing exciting with the idea of beating the clock to win bigger, because more monies could be won depending on the time of making a fresh deposit.

Mr Addy said more than 40 winners would be chosen in the mini and the final draws, but the mini would be held on December 23, and winners would receive a variety of items consisting of Samsung Galaxy S6 edges, Samsung 40 inch LED digital televisions, Samsung TAB 4, and shopping vouchers worth GH₡ 500.00 each from the Game Supermarket.

He said the final draw which would also be held on March 16, 2016, would have 10 winners having their deposits quadrupled, tripled or doubled up to GH₡ 300,000.00, depending on when they deposited.

Mr Addy noted that entries picked for deposits done in November would be quadrupled, while those made in December would be tripled, and those made in January 2016 would be doubled.

He said this means that the first prize winner may receive up to GH₡ 300,000.00, the second winner could have up to GH₡ 100.000.00, the third prize up to GH₡ 50.000.00 and the fourth to 10th prize winners would walk away with up to GH₡ 10.000.00 each.

Mr Kewku Tweneboa-Kodua, Head of Retail of the Bank, said his department has prepared all frontline staff members to effectively handle the traffic as customers rush to beat the clock in the various branches of SG across the country.

He urged customers to seek further information and clarifications about the promotion at any of the Bank’s branches or visit its website at www.societegenerale.com.gh.
