Ghana legend Abedi Ayew Pele attended Zamalek's training session on Friday after being invited by his son Ibrahim "Rahim" Ayew, who joined the Cairo-based club this term.
The three-time African footballer of the year got a warm reception from the Zamalek fans and officials upon arriving at the club's headquarters. Pele,hugely popular in Egypt, met the White Knights' technical staff before watching training from the stands of Helmi Zamoura stadium.
Rahim is warming up to make his debut after a successful operation on his knee. Zamalek coach Michel Decastel, who returned for a second spell with the five-time African champions having abruptly left them in 2007, will give him a chance to prove his worth in the upcoming league games.
