Sam George And MP, Nii Amasah Namoale Suspended From NDC

The Greater Accra Regional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by Chairman Ade Coker has suspended Sam Nartey George, Member of Parliament aspirant for Ningo Prapram and Nii Amasah Namoale, Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon all in the Greater Accra region.

According to a report filed by Peace FM's Yaw Obeng Manu, the regional executives explained that the two persons through their conduct and other activites during the recently held National Democratic Congress's (NDC's) national primaries have embarrased the party.

Member of Parliament for the La Dadekotopon constituency, who was also elected in the party's primaries in November, Nii Amasah Namoale, has also been suspended.

The suspension takes effect from December 1, 2015.

In a letter addressed to Sam George dated 1st December, 2015; "On the 21st of November 2015, you contravened article 41 (3a) and 40 (8b & c) when you instigated people against the regional executive monitoring team and granted interview to the media, accusing the regional executives of perpertrating fraud to the benefit of you contender," a statement signed by Victor  Quarshie Adonoo, Greater Accra Regional Secretary stated

On the part of Nii Amasah Namoale, MP for La Dadekotopon his letter also dated 1st of December, 2015 stated that; "On the 21st of November 2015, you contravened article 40(8c) when you granted interview to the media, accusing the regional Executives of perpertrating fraud to the benefit of you contender and calling of the executives as 'Fraudsters and Pickpockets'," a statement also signed by Victor Quarshie Adonoo, Greater Accra Regional Secretary said

According to the letter, the Regional Party and its Executives find both acts as affronts to democracy and an attempt to drag the party's image into disrepute.

"These anti-party conducts or activities has embarrased the party and has brought the party into hatred, ridicule and contempt; hence, must not go unpunished in order to protect the sanctity of article 41 (3a) and 40 (8b & c) of the party's constitution," Victor Quarshie Adonoo said.
