GIA Crowns Gold Coast Fund Management As Fund Manager Of 2015
Ghana’s preferred fund managers, Gold Coast Fund Management (GCFM,) has been crowned as the Fund Manager of the year (2015) at the prestigious annual Ghana Investment Awards (GIA) following their excellent performance in the year under review.
At the same event, fiscal research experts, GN Research, won bronze in the Research Report of the year category.
The ceremony was held Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Accra.
It was organised by the Premier Networking Investment Club (PNIC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC,) as part of the 2nd Capital Markets Week Celebration.
The Awards which is in its 5th year saw 19 brokerage firms and 78 investment advisor firms duly licensed by the SEC, individual achievers as well as all listed equities on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) converge to celebrate their achievements.
In all fourteen (14) award categories were presented under three broad areas; Corporate, Product and Funds and Individual Awards.
In an interview with Today Business, Head of Research at Groupe Nduom, Mr. Samuel Ampah, said his outfit was surprised by the award and that it is a form of encouragement to them.
“We received the award due to the recognition of our publication on research on the Ghanaian investment market,” he said.
He went further to say that they were very happy to receive such an award especially when it is the first time of they have won an award and “this also tell us that we are doing the right thing.”
GN research is just about a year old and this award has put a lot of challenge to us to do more research and also support the Ghanaian market.”
