DCOP Yohuno: I Did By Day To Pay My Fees

Growing up in the village did not only establish the uniqueness of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as a pupil.

It also introduced him to some of the harsh realities of life at an early age. One of it was working as a farm labourer, popularly known among Ghanaian farmers as “by day’”, to support his mother, a single parent, cater for his basic education.

Sensational as this might sound for the upbringing of a child, young Christian did not allow it to affect his studies. It spurred him on to rather study harder, to pass his Middle School Leaving Certificate examination with distinction.

From Tokpo, near Asutuare, in the Greater Accra Region- where he hails from, DCOP Yuhono is today the Director-General in-charge of Operations, Ghana Police Service.

To him, this is a feat he has achieved through determination, hard-work and the divine providence of God.
