Glico Healthcare, Ghana’s number one private health insurance providers and a member of GLICO GROUP of Companies, climaxed its 10 years Anniversary Celebrations with a Dinner and Appreciation Night.
The Dinner and Appreciation Night, held at the Tang Hotel in Accra, was to say a big thank you to all stakeholders for supporting GLICO HEALTHCARE attain ten years. It also marked the night to appreciate key institutions and individuals who have contributed immensely to the growth and success of GLICO HEALTHCARE.
In her welcome address, the Scheme Manager of GLICO HEALTHCARE, Mrs. Harriet Abotchie said that, the yearlong 10th anniversary celebration has been very exciting for GLICO HEALTHCARE and its stakeholders since they launched it on 25th November, 2014.
She stated, "Over the last 10 years, GLICO HEALTHCARE has remained strong throughout the many changes in the economic climate. We attribute our success to two things: first, we continually look for ways to optimize our operations in every single area of the business; and secondly, we aim to offer our customers with the best products and services”.
Speaking at the Dinner and Appreciating Night, Dr. Ben Foleson, Board Chairman of GLICO HEALTHCARE, expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders and staff for their commitment to GLICO HEALTHCARE over the past 10 years.
He noted that, our stakeholders are the reason we can boast of over 13,000 client’s base made up of 55 companies accessing our healthcare products in nationwide spread service provider network.
Dr. Foleson assured stakeholders that with continued commitment to innovation, prompt claim payments and excellent products and services, GLICO HEALTHCARE is poised for greater success in the next decades.
The Special Guest of Honour, Mr. Nathaniel Otoo, CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) graced the occasion of the premier private Health Insurance Company. He commended GLICO HEALTHCARE for the various innovations and hard work that has helped push private health insurance sector to a higher and better level. He appealed to all Ghanaians to take out a private health insurance scheme and advised that GLICO HEALTHCARE is one reputable company to do business with since they have met all statutory requirements and are committed to innovation to deliver excellent customer service.
The Dinner and Appreciation night also saw the launch of the GLICO HEALTHCARE App, a 10th anniversary gift to all stakeholders. Launching the App and taking guests through its functionalities, the Group Head, Corporate Affairs & Marketing, Nana Efua Rockson, stated that health is life and that prompt timely service makes a world of difference for ones wellbeing. She informed guest that the App was designed to offer clients quick information about GLICO HEALTCARE’s product benefits, service provider lists and quick contact details, all at the touch of a button.
Nana Efua urged all clients to download the App on their mobile phones to assist GLICO HEALTHCARE’s objective of providing excellent service delivery to all clients.
Instructively, GLICO HEALTHCARE launched its 10th anniversary celebrations in November 2014 and the yearlong celebrations saw a series of activities such as: A health seminar on dental care; a special workshop for medical doctors to abreast them with modern developments in the health industry; fun activities for all GLICO staff; a Corporate Social Responsibility adoption of the Gandhi Ward at the 37 Military Hospital with a donation GHC 12,000.00 to the administration and a pledge to support the ward each anniversary year.
Lastly, a thanksgiving service was held at Action Chapel on the 29th November, 2015 to ask for Gods abundant grace for the coming years as GLICO HEALTHCARE sets out to break barriers in the private health insurance market.
