VIDEO: Govt Should Withdraw All Security Forces From Dagbon

Editor of the Punch newspaper, Ebenezer Ato Sam, better known as Baby Ansaba has expressed worry over an unfulfilled promise made by the NDC party during the 2008 election concerning the Abudus, Andanis dispute about eight (8) years ago when the party then lead by the former president late Prof. Attah Mills promised to look for Yaa Naa's killers, ensure justice, give lasting solution and peace at Dagbon when they are voted into power but have failed to deliver

He suggests government withdraw all security forces from the area if the people continue fighting themselves.

Speaking on ATV's "Anopa Bosuo" show Baby Ansaba said security forces who government can deplore in other areas to work for the country are still in Dagbon, been fed by government all this years at the expense of taxpayer’s money and yet there's no peace in Dagbon.

"Left for me alone I will suggest two options for government. One, I will withdraw all security forces from Yendi. They should go ahead and do whatever they want to do.

I won't take any security forces to the place. They should fight and kill themselves. That is what I will do. When they keep fighting they will get finished and the rest of Ghanaians will have their peace of mind.

Again my second option is this: what are the enlighten ones, the elite, the so called educated people among them also doing to help solve this dispute or bring peace to their people?

So this educated people can't come up with their own road map in installing their chiefs? At least the Abudus can rule for ten years and then the Andanis will also take over. Can't they organize a durbar and do this, have a rotational system? I am on national television I would have been much more blank on this issue" he noted.

He said if the people continue like this the country will soon forget about them and move on.
