On Manasseh Azure's Facebook Wall....

Credible sources have told me that those who changed the First Lady's last name from "Mahama" to "MAHAHA" are the same people who handled the Independence Day brochure.

However, at this stage, it is important to move the discussion beyond the errors. The ISD says it's no longer in charge of government's printing and public relations, the reason for which the state pays them.

Which companies or individuals are in charge of that function now? What process did they go through to win that contract? How much are they paid to do this?

The Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has refused to grant any media interview on the matter. The Flagstaff House will not answer the questions either. As usual, they are waiting for Presidential Scandals Committee to engage our attention with another creative mess so that we forget about this one.

But don't we deserve the dignity of knowing who gets government contracts and how they get them? Don't we deserve to be told how our money is spent? Does this amount to asking too much from a President who misses no opportunity to boast about his commitment to transparency?
