I Wish The NPP Well... - Bernard Mornah

PNC National Chairman, Bernard Mornah has commiserated with the family of the late Former Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.

Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey passed away Sunday morning.

He led the NPP to victory in the 2000 and 2004 general elections as Campaign Manager. He died in London.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Bernard Mornah touted Mr. Obetsebi's spirit of nationalism and devotion to his party; the New Patriotic Party.

He alluded to the hard work of Mr. Obetsebi that saw the NPP come to power and further narrated some initiatives by him to popularize the Kufour government.

Mr. Obetsebi was the brain behind a political song that was composed for the Kufour government, he noted, adding that it quickly became a household song.

“It was resonating. And I think that it was the single contribution that magnified the campaign of President Kufour because the song wasn’t difficult to sing and the way it was captured” he said and further recounted that Mr. Obetsebi was a unifier who would go to the various political parties to solicit opinions and further sign treaties with the parties during the Kufour regime.

Beyond that, Jake played a very significant backroom diplomacy by communicating with other opposition political parties."

Bernard Mornah wished the "NPP well. I wish the family the best of strength in these difficult times, particularly when you have wife and kids.
