'Controversial' NDC-Branded Mahindra Car Involved In Accident (PHOTO)

One of the NDC-branded Mahindra vehicles has been involved in an accident at Brewaniase in the Nkwanta South District of the Volta Region.

The vehicles, which have stirred controversy after shots were taken from the compound of National Security Advisor Baba Kamara, were said to be moving towards the Northern Region on Wednesday morning from Accra when one of them in a convoy of about 40 cars collided into a 207 Benz bus also from Pusupu a nearby community at Brewaniase in the Nkwanta South District of the Volta Region.

According to our Volta Regional correspondent Kwabena Ntow who reported on the incident, the drivers of both vehicles agreed to repair their vehicles to prevent any delays.

With its registration number concealed, the Mahindra 4X4 pick-up was not seriously damaged. Neither was the Benz bus with registration number AS 420 S.

Shots of the about 20 vehicles taken by Dr Edmund Ayo Ani, Managing Director of Marbles and Granite, had gone viral, forcing the police to pick him up at the behest of Mr Kamara.

Dr. Ayo Ani has since been released.

But the branding of the vehicles in colours of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have raised the issue of abuse of incumbency.

The Mahindra pick-up involved in the accident has since been towed away.
