NPP Is Worth Dying For Demo Victim

Justice Adzakumah, the man who lost one of his eyes as a result of police brutalities during a peaceful protest in Accra against the Electoral Commission (EC), has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for supporting him.

He disclosed that the NPP’s leadership had supported him in diverse ways since he lost his eye, stressing that his life would have been miserable but for the timely support of the NPP.

Justice Adzakumah categorically stated that the NPP is a political party worth dying for, recounting the enormous assistance that the party had offered to him to assuage his suffering.

“Thank you NPP members for your support so far,” he stated “in fact I have realized that the NPP is a political party which stands by and supports its members in times of troubles and tribulations; my case is a perfect example.”

Justice disclosed this while addressing people that took part in the ‘Baamu Yadda’ demonstration in Kumasi on Wednesday.

It was organized by the NPP and other bodies to encourage the Electoral Commission (EC) to clean the bloated voter register.

He painfully recounted how the police attacked him and destroyed one of his eyes during a peaceful protest in Accra against the EC, which was organized by the Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA).

Mr. Adzakumah, who travelled from Accra to Kumasi to take part in the demonstration, urged Ghanaians, especially those that wish to promote peace, before, during and after the polls, to support the NPP’s initiative.

According to him, the unfortunate incident has not dampen his spirit, indicating that he was poised to contribute his quota to help the NPP to win the November elections to save Ghanaians from the suffering.

Protest is the only language that the EC currently understands and I entreat Ghanaians to periodically hit the streets to protest against the EC to accept the NPP’s stance, he added.

Justice Adzakumah indicated that the NPP would capture power from the NDC in November, this year, saying that the NDC had failed Ghanaians so the electorate would vote against it.

“I hail from the Volta region, where the NDC continuously brags to be its World Bank in terms of vote accumulation, but this year the NDC’s dominance in the Volta region would end.
