Looming Terrorist Attack: Too Many Chinese Weapons In Our Armory...Anxious Soldiers Lament

Pastor T.B. Joshua’s prophecy that the terrorist boogeyman is in Ghana’s front door comes at a time when the country’s armory holds substandard firepower, Enquirer has heard.

There is a loud murmur within the military that Ghana’s current arsenal lacks the kind of quality weaponry that are required for the combating of aggression as sophisticated as terrorism.

According to a group of soldiers who have spoken to The Enquirer on condition of anonymity, “Our armory mainly consists of cheap Chinese weapons.”

Lamenting, the soldiers, who instigated a meeting with The Enquirer, said the cheap weapons in question mostly overheat during military shooting practices.

The overheating, according to them, often leads to weapon jams in the heat of the gunfire.

“The M16s are the worst,” one of the soldiers said, adding, “The concern is widespread among our colleagues.

The concern from these soldiers is coming at a tiem when Ghana is said to be on the radar of terrorists.

Celebrity Nigeria Pastor, T.B. Joshua, who made the revelation, also named his home country, Nigeria, which is already battling Islamist extremist, Boko haraam, as another target.

T.B. Joshua has since asked for fervent prayers for the two coteries, but the pronouncement has since stirred up a heightened sense of caution in Ghana with the interior Ministry ominously warning Ghanaians to be on the alert.

The powerful man of God’s prediction has also cued hotels in the country, especially those in the national capital, Accra, to step up security checks.

A similar step-up of security at the Kotoka International Airport has meant that patrons are now subjected to harrowing checks, including invasive frisks.

It is against this backdrop that Ghanaian soldiers are complaining that the country’s armory is not in shape for what can be.

Jihadists most proximate to Ghana, book Haram, are known to be keeping the Federal Government of Nigeria on tenterhooks.

However, with suicide-bombing and surprise attacks as its main operation format, the group has mostly relied on stealth and good timing to unleash death on unarmed civilian populations.
