President John Mahama will be the Special Guest of Honour at the 2016 May Day National Parade to be held at the Jubilee Park in Wa, the Regional Capital of Upper West Region on May 1.
A statement issued by the Secretary General of the TRADES UNION CONGRESS (TUC), Comrade Kofi Asamoah, said the theme for the 2016 May Day celebration in Ghana is: “Election 2016: The Role of Workers in Securing Peaceful Elections for National Development”.
The statement invited all working people of Ghana to join the celebration of Workers’ Day of Solidarity just as the working people of Ghana will join millions around the world to mark the day.
“Regional May Day Parades will also be held in all the ten regions of Ghana.”
