NDCs Agenda 50/50 Is A Mirage NPP MP

New Patriotic Party (NPP) for New Juaben North, Nana Agyei Boateng has described National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s Agenda 50/50 in the Eastern Region as a dream which can never be realized.

The former Ejisu Juaben Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) speaking on Adom FM Morning Show, election watch programme, ‘Adom Keteke’ said the NDC ought not to have declared its intention of securing 50% of Eastern Regional votes since ‘it knew that the administration of President John Mahama has done nothing.’

“The Agenda 50/50 is a dream and a mirage which can never be realized….the NDC should wake up from its dreams, just step out into the streets and ask the voter if they can feel any impact of good governance in their lives…,” he said.

Adom Keteke which kicked off in grand style in the Eastern Regional capital on Friday featured representatives from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Convention People’s Party (CPP).

The representatives discussed at length the Agenda 50/50 which has been the main target of the NDC in the region.

The NPP MP was responding to claims by Eastern Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong that the NDC was on course as it had achieved a lot in education, road infrastructure, supply of water and several others in the Eastern Region.

For these reasons, the Minister said the NDC was on course to jumping from the 44% it chalked in the 2012 elections and achieve its Agenda 50/50.

But the claim, the Legislator said was neither here nor there as according to him, the erstwhile Kufour administration achieved a lot in these sectors in the region and beyond.

“Talk of roads, bringing water to remote places and urban centres and whatever she is mentioning as NDC achievements, the NPP and Kufour achieved better and the people of the Eastern Region would not forget this…,” he said.
