Collins Owusu Amankwaa Is A Traitor- Wontumis Aide

Incarcerated Chairman of the New Patriotic Party; Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party to remain resolute as he fights to prove his innocence in the case involving an assault complaint lodged against him.

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwaa and the NPP’s Constituency Secretary for the area, Felix Ibrahim complained to the Ashanti Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service of being assaulted by Mr. Antwi Boasiako on Sunday, May 1, 2016 when they were observing the Limited Voter Registration exercise in Kumasi.

For this reason, the police declared Mr. Antwi Boasiako, aka, Chairman Wontumi, a wanted man. Hours after the police declaration, Chairman ‘Wontumi’ personally reported himself to authorities and indicated in a statement which was copied to Peacefmonline.com that “The only time I heard, the police was looking for me was when UTV called to interview me. I reported myself to the Regional Police command at Kumasi exactly 10:42am today to write my statement. Though I am still at the station, there is no cause for alarm now.

But the police for reasons yet to be made to the public, decided to arrest Chairman ‘Wontumi’ after he had turned himself in to assist in investigations.

The move pushed scores of NPP supporters to storm the Regional police command amidst heavy security to demand the release of their Chairman.

Mr. Andy Owusu, an aide to the Ashanti Regional Chairman tells Peacefmonline.com that the entire region is saddened by the development. He claims the MP for Manhyia North has acted like a “traitor” and has equaled the record the infamous Judas who let the only son of God down.
