ECs Limited Registration Exercise Was Not Well Organized 'Chairman Wontumi'

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as ‘Chairman Wontumi’  says the EC’s just ended limited registration exercise was not well organised and not in order.

According to him, the EC intentionally delayed the biometric machines so that it cannot register the required number of people it is suppose to register in a day, as most of the machines frequently broke down delaying most eligible Ghanaians from registering.

“Bometric Machines brought to the Ashanti Region were sick and not functioning as expected. Officials at the EC intentionally delayed the machines used for the exercise making the process very difficult to handle,” he said.

Speaking to OKAY FM’s morning show host, Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie, ‘Chairman Wontumi’  indicated that  he is begging the judges who sat on the Supreme Court ruling directing the Electoral Commission [EC] to clean the register to force the EC to undertake the exercise, because the Charlotte Osei he knows would not act as the court have directed if she is not forced.

He said the courts of our land would be in the best position to let officials at EC do what is right and expected of them as a body in charge of elections.

He noted that they would make sure no foreigner votes in the Ashanti Region

“The NPP would soon let citizens know the exact issues involved in and during this registration,” he noted.
