Wontumi Is So Reckless...He Has Made Me Jobless - Yamoah Ponkoh Laments

The ‘reckless’ behavior of the Ashanti Regional for the New Patriotic Party, has indeed had a rippling effect on Yamoah Afrifa Ponkoh’s chances of returning to office as Chief Executive for the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Assembly.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the NPP, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiko, in recent times has gained notoriety for going after political opponents or persons within his own party he perceives to be working against the fortunes of Nana Akufo Addo.

One political opponent who has had his share of the cake is Mr. Yamoah Ponkoh.

The embattled Ejisu-Juaben MCE is currently without job and this has been as a result of him crossing path with Mr. Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.

Chairman ‘Wontumi’ has vowed to trounce Kweku Afrifa Yamoah Ponko dream’s of cementing a permanent place in office as MCE for the Ejisu Juaben.

And on 13th May 2016, Mr. Yamoah Afrifa Ponkoh told Okay FM’s Kwame Nkrumah Tikese that his failure to return to office as MCE for Ejisu-Juaben has been as a result of the “recklessness of Chairman Wontumi and his aide, Andy Owusu”.

The two according to him have been the “bane” inciting some assembly members who are NPP loyalists to vote against him.

The embattled MCE has already tasted two defeats as he bids to be reinstated and the last he did, he polled 38 votes out of a total of 68 valid votes cast instead of at least 46 votes.
