Amasaman-Fise Community Benefit From Talk Life Project

As women and children remain the most vulnerable in every aspect of life, every bit of information given is necessary and essential for women and children growth.

It is due to this essential information through education that the host of 'Wohaw Ne Sen' and 'Wo Mpom Te Sen' on Peace FM, Nana Yaa Konadu has partnered with FIDA Lawyer and a Gender Advocate, Eleanor Kakra Barnes Botwe to feed women with information about their health, lifestyle and marital issues which affect them.

'Talk Life' Project which is the concept for the community outreach, according to Nana Yaa Konadu is based on the many similar cases she deals with on her show on Peace FM and therefore has decided together with her associate partner, lawyer Kakra Barnes Botwe to reach out to women in the various communities to provide solutions to their many problems.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Nana Yaa Konadu revealed that though similar projects have been done in the past, this is the maiden edition of 'Talk Life' which started from Ga-West, precisely at Amasaman-Fise and will extend to Nsawam to address the needs of women.

“We have to touch lives of women and we have decided to move closely to the communities to provide solutions to their problems because we have realised that many of them don’t have the means to come to Peace FM with their problem, and even if you invite them to meet you at an enclosed environment, they may not able to come due to dress code,” she emphasised.

“We have again decided to move from community to community and so from here at Amasaman-Fise, we will move to another community to educate them on their health, lifestyle and marital issues. We owe this to our people and we hope other corporate bodies will come on board to help us out,” she stressed.

Commenting on the 'Talk Life', Lawyer Eleanor Kakra Barnes Botwe who is an associate partner to the project maintained that the project is meant to prevent divorces in the country and bring peace in homes.

She however urged all women to take advantage of the 'Talk Life' project to seek redress of their marital challenges and health issues which are on rampant, especially breast cancer which is still affecting women as there is little knowledge about the disease.

“Talk Life” Project saw expertise giving counselling on the need for women to eat right, to constantly engage in body exercise and how to examine their breast personally for early breast cancer detection.

Free mobile phone credit cards were given out to the women who attended the program as part of the package attached to the free information and education given out.
