A man believed to be in his 40’s has been struck dead by lightning in Afienya Mataheko near Ashaiman in the Greater Accra region.
An eye witness, Joycelin Asante who spoke to Adom News said the incident occurred during Saturday afternoon's downpour.
She said the man whose name was given as William was sitting in his phone shop when the lightning struck, killing him instantly.
“Before this afternoon’s rain, there was a thunder strike and the only thing we heard was that the thunder and lightning has killed a man. We rushed to the scene only to see the lifeless body of the man” she said.
