Mahama Talking Cheap? This Is What Happens When People Have Less Knowledge - Mornah

National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr. Bernard Mornah has slammed the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Lawson for describing the PNC's roadmap of halving unemployment within two years as cheap talk.

Last week, the NDC Deputy Chief Scribe, George Lawson on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show said it was cheap talk for the PNC Presidential Candidate, Dr. Edward Mahama to think of halving the unemployment situation in the country within two years of his reign.

"...sometimes, when people want power, they don’t use their head too much but resort to falsehood but thank God the good people of Ghana are discerning and wide awake to know the lies which some political leaders use to gain cheap political points," he stated.

Fuming on the same platform, Mr. Mornah slammed the NDC Deputy Chief Scribe accusing him of not listening to the detailed explanations put forward by Dr Mahama on how to raise employment levels through the Agriculture sector, wondering how it could be classified as cheap talk.

You didn’t read the statement and you jump on radio and you have the temerity to come and say that it is a cheap talk when we have provided solutions to the unemployment challenge in the country”, he fumed.

Was it cheap talk when we talked about bringing National Health Insurance at a time your government was doing Cash and Carry? Was it cheap talk when we were talking about Ghana Education Trust Fund at the time you people were shooting students who were engaged in “Mobrowa struggle”? Was it cheap talk when we talked about creating a ministry of women in this country? If you lack ideas, we can help you; sometimes when people have less knowledge about something, this is the way they talk”, he chided.
