Pep Guardiola has plenty of hard work ahead as he bids to take Manchester City to the top of European football, but the Spaniard has still managed to find time to recharge his batteries with his family before heading to England.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has taken over at the Etihad Stadium from Manuel Pellegrini, where he inherits a side which finished fourth in last season's Premier League and missed out on an automatic place in the Champions League group stage.

Guardiola is due to be officially unveiled in Manchester on July 3 when he will step up his preparations for the new season, but before then has been enjoying a family holiday on the Spanish island of Ibiza.
