Ghana@50 Probe: Journalists Warned

The Chairman of the Presidential Commission probing the activities of the Ghana@50 Secretariat, Mr Justice Isaac Duose, yesterday, Thursday, October, 8, 2009 warned that the commission would cite journalists who took its proceedings out of context for contempt. He reminded journalists that the commission had the power to do that if its proceedings are taken out of context and sensationalized. The chairman gave the warning after counsel for the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana@50 Secretariat, Dr Charles Wereko-Brobbey, Mr Akoto Ampaw, protested against a publication in an Accra based private newspaper.
