Activa Int. Insurance Sponsored 3rd SMEGA Awards

The Deputy Managing Director of Activa International Insurance, Mr. Solomon Lartey, has assured Small to Medium size Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana that Activa insurance is helping SMEs to mitigate losses and reduce risks they face as a result of their investment.

In an interview at the 3 rd SME Ghana awards held at the State Banquet Hall, Accra on Wednesday, 11 th August, 2016, Mr. Lartey supported the view of the Deputy Minister of Trade, Hon. Murtala Mohammed Ibrahim, who enumerated some of the challenges, which included risk-taking, which SMEs in Ghana face, when he delivered his keynote address at the ceremony.

Mr. Solomon Lartey, who was impressed with the organization of the event, which rewarded SMEs in Ghana, explained that his company share the view that SMEs must be given the needed boost to help create employment, reduce import, reduce the pressure on the cedi against foreign currencies, especially the Dollar and also improve the country’s foreign exchange earnings.

“It is for these reasons and more that Activa International Insurance, as part of its corporate social responsibility, supported the organization of the 3 rd SMEGA Awards to identify and reward SMEs who have excelled in their various sectors” he added.

Mr. Lartey concluded by saying that Activa International Insurance has introduced world class insurance products that would protect the investments of companies and individuals in Ghana and in over 40 countries across Africa.

Mr. Solomon Lartey presented awards to the Best SME, Home & Office Appliances category and Health Sector categories. The Chief Operating Officer of Activa International Insurance, Mr. Yamoah also presented awards to the Best SME-Metal category.
