Two Traditional Councils Receive Donation From Vodafone

Telecommunications giant, Vodafone Ghana has donated a collective sum of GHS10,000 and assorted drinks to two traditional councils during a working tour of the regions by its Senior Leadership Team.

The delegation, led by the Chief Executive Yolanda Cuba, donated GHS5,000 to the New Juaben Traditional Council in the Eastern Region and GHS5,000 to the Dakpema Educational Fund in the Northern Region. The gesture formed part of a comprehensive regional tour of the two regions by Yolanda, who joined the business as Chief Executive some five months ago.

Commenting on the donations, Yolanda said:

“It is a priority for us at Vodafone to continuously support and help sustain communities where we operate. We are very pleased to contribute towards the development of these communities and we remain committed to introducing sustainable programmes that will improve the lives of Ghanaians.”

Receiving the donation for the New Juaben Traditional Area, the Kontihene, Baffour Nyantakyi Tutu Boateng, expressed his gratitude to Vodafone Ghana, saying:

“We are very grateful for this kind gesture. We assure you that this money will be used for development projects in our community.”

In addition, the Chief of Tamale, Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan, praised Vodafone for the continuous support and the various socially impactful initiatives it has introduced across the Northern region.
