Ghana Made GH�6 Million From Gh@50 Vehicles-- Wereko Brobbey

In his second appearance at the Ghana at fifty Commission of Inquiry, on Wednesday, October 14, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobbey has provided details of all vehicles bought for the celebration which were also used for subsequent international conferences hosted by Ghana. He told the Commission that about 352 vehicles were needed for government officials alone for the Golden Jubilee celebration. Government however commissioned a fleet of 300 cars to service the jubilee celebrations and all the subsequent international conferences hosted by Ghana in 2007 and 2008. He said about seventeen motor vehicle companies in the country submitted proposals for consideration after the office of the President invited such interests. Dr Wereko-Brobbey also says Ghana made over 6 million Ghana cedis from the sale of 167 of the 300 fleet of vehicles bought for the celebrations.
