Bugri Naabu Lacks Intelligence - Kofi Adams

Campaign Coordinator of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has downplayed accusations by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against President Mahama, saying it lacks merit.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the NPP alleged that President John Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, tried bribing Bugri Naabu, Northern Regional Chairman of their party to portray the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo as someone who dislikes Northerners.

According to the NPP, Nabu was offered a brand new V6 Mitsubishi, a brand new V8 Land Cruiser and GH¢3.3 million to resign from the party and paint Nana Addo as a dictator and damage him.

The press conference provided evidences and stated the dates and times Bugri Naabu met the President and his brother and the places part of the monies were given to him.

But in an interview on Asempa FM on Tuesday afternoon, Kofi Adams who is also the National Organiser of NDC said it is only someone with high level of intelligence who can execute what was said during the press conference, but he doubts Bugri Nabu exhibits such intelligence.

“How can someone noted for ugly leadership in the Northern region possess such intelligence”, he retorted.

He pointed out that Nana Addo Dankwa’s character of disliking northerners and being a dictator is widely known, hence the NDC did not need to bribe anyone in the NPP to darken his already known records.

Kofi Adams described as bogus the evidences provided by the party and a calculated attempts to run President Mahama down and destroy minds willing to vote for the great achievement the country is experiencing under him.

He said the tactics by the NPP is not new to them because they did it to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and late President Atta Mills few days to the 2008 General elections.

“They are not done yet, we have intelligence that they are going to have a lot of press conferences including half-baked surveys and reports which are going to aligned to credible institutions just as they did to the University of Ghana”,

“Ghana needs to go forward in development and only President John Dramani Mahama, is the one to do it at this crucial moment. All allegations against him and the NDC will not wash because no one can destroy the destiny God has prepared”, he noted.
