Dont Be Complacent With Favorable Polls -Veep Warns NDC

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has called on the rank and file of the NDC not to rely on the recent opinion polls that put President Mahama ahead of other presidential candidates.

He said they should discount it and shouldn't be complacent about it but rather work towards achieving a massive victory for President John Mahama in the coming week.

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur made this statement at DonkorKrom in the Afram Plains of the Eastern  Region as part of his visit to the area to campaign.

He called on party members to put the past behind them and move ahead for victory for the NDC. Mr Amissah-Arthur in an address to the chiefs and people of the area said the NDC knows what the people of Afram Plains have done for the party.

He noted that they have been loyal to the party since its inception and called on them to support the party to enable them continue with the numerous developmental projects that they have started in the area.

He said any retrogressive change would affect all the projects like the schools, clinics, roads, electricity that they are enjoying. He specifically mentioned the new Eastern University that government is planning to establish at Donkorkrom as one thing they could lose should they vote against the NDC.

The Vice President said Afram Plains would continue to be in the hearts of the NDC party.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur encouraged the NDC supporters to go all out on December 7 and vote massively for President Mahama and Betty Crosby Mensah for the Afram Plain North to compliment the continuity agenda.
