Mosquito Bites Spio: Let The Internet Address Your Concerns

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has cheekily asked Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, one-time Presidential aspirant of the party, to present himself to the internet for his concerns to be addressed, since he (Spio) claims he saw a copy of a letter purportedly calling for a meeting on the internet. Speaking in an interview on Kokrokoo, Peace FMs flagship programme, General Mosquito as he is affectionately called, stressed that the Functional Executive Committee of the NDC (the highest decision making body), never at any point in time, threw an invite to the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation CEO to attend a meeting. I was with President Mills at the 64th UN General Assembly when this issue came up the National Chairman issued a statement calling on all parties to hold their fire, and at the appropriate time the matter would be addressed then all of a sudden you jet down for a meeting we did not invite him he should have enquired from the party chairman about the so-called meeting he claims it was on the internet Kwami, he should appear before the internet then can you imagine someone presenting himself before a chief in the palace for an issue to be addressed, simply because he heard that the Chief was considering ways of resolving the issue? He facetiously asked. Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah had at a press conference in Accra, yesterday, Tuesday October 27th, expressed regrets over the inability by the national leadership to resolve the standoff between himself (Garbrah) and other leading members of the party. But, the NDC Chief Scribe, pointed out that the party will not be stampede into taking a decision, when its grievance resolution channels have not been fully exhausted. Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, described Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah as just an ordinary member who contested the partys flagbearership position, and denounced yesterdays press conference by the CTO boss as, unnecessary and uncalled for.
