Journalists Mourn Bismark Bebli

Scores of Ghanaian have expressed shock at the sudden demise of the Acting Editor of Daily Telegraph, Mr. Bismark Bebli.

Mr. Bebli met his untimely death last Friday, January 13, 2017 at Kasoa in the Central Region.

He was hit by a ‘trotro vehicle with registration number GE 8252-12 in front of the Kasoa Police Station.

The car which was heading towards Awutu Breku according to eyewitness, failed its brake, and subsequently ran over the journalist and a policeman.

President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Mr. Roland Affail Monney lamented that the death of Mr. Bebli was, “a big blow” to the inky fraternity and the nation as a whole.

“I can’t believe that Bismark is dead under such a tragic circumstance. A great colleague and Assemblies of God brother”, The GJA president said.

“Our prayers and hearts are with the family and the Daily Telegraph staff”, he told Today.

Editor of Today news paper, Mr. Dennis Ato Keelson also recounted how he got to know the late Mr. Bebli during his (Mr. Bebli) days with the Ghanaian Chronicle .

According to him, Mr. Bebli served his purpose on earth and was glad that he did his part by educating, informing and entertaining Ghanaian people.

A senior reporter at New Crusading Guide, Mr. Frank Amposah, was short of words as he could not believe his colleague had died.

Former reporter of Metro TV, Mr. Henry Addo said, it is a sad day for the media practitioners in Ghana”.
