Prez Akufo-Addo Must Reward Nana B - J J Appeals

A leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress has called on President Nana Akufo-Addo to appoint one of the party's communicators to serve in his administration for his sterling performance during political discussion in the media in the run up to last year's general elections.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, John Jinapor, a former Deputy Minister of Power, noted that as the President is releasing the list of Ministers for Parliamentary approval, he shouldn't forget the hard work and tenacity of Henry Nana Boakye, popularly called Nana B.

He noted on the programme that Nana B played a very instrumental role in the campaign season, prior to the 2016 elections.

In a rare show of patting the back one's political opponent, the Yapei-Kusawgu NDC MP said the NPP communicator's contribution cannot be overlooked and so, President Nana Addo should reward his sacrifices; "because it will appear that we rewarding sacrifice. We’re rewarding hard work. It’s not because Nana B is sitting here but he has really done well.

Meanwhile, the President has named his ministerial nominees with the numbers totalling to 36.

Top on the list is former Finance Minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo as a Senior Minister.

The Ministerial nominees include Albert Kan-Dapaah for National Security, Dominic Nitiwul for Defence, Alan Kyeremateng for Trade and Industry, Ken Ofori Atta for Finance, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful for Communications among others.
