Kwamena Duncan Will Make A Great Regional Minister - Allotey Jacobs

Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Allotey Jacobs has doffed his hat for the Minister-designate for Central Region, Kwamena Duncan.

Kwamena Duncan, a regular panelist on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, was on Tuesday appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo to represent the Central Region as Minister upon Parliamentary approval.

Kwamena Duncan was touted as an astute and articulate activist of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who's hard work and submissions on the award-winning programme has paid off for the NPP to come into power with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo being elected Head of the Republic.

Addressing Kwamena Duncan's ministerial appointment on Wednesday edition of Kokrokoo, Allotey Jacobs was glad that the President chose the right person for the Region.

According to him, "Kwamena knows Central Region very well, very [very] well. It's a controversial region and a conservative region. I hope that what he's gone through was a lesson that God is giving him that when he's appointed as a leader, he will be able to use those hardships" to resolve the challenges facing the Central Region."

Allotey Jacobs further describe the Central Regional Minister-designate's personality as affable and welcoming to every person irrespective of his or her political affiliation.

He prayed Mr. Duncan will execute his duties effectively and ensure development in the Region.

"Central Region is a poverty endemic region seriously and Kwamena knows it. Kwamena knows it very well," he said.

The NDC Central Regional Chairman wished Kwamena the best in all his endeavors when approved as the Regional Minister.

"Everybody likes Kwamena. Kwamena is everywhere...I wish him very well. I hope he will bring together all political parties in the region. Because so far as he's going to be the Regional Minister and so far as his party is going to remain in power for the next four years, there's nothing any political party can do. All we can do, particularly those of us in the Central Region, is to give him the cooperation for him to at least lift the image of the Region."
