Patriotic Ladies Club (PLC) Embark On Clean-Up Exercise

The Patriotic Ladies Club (PLC), an appendage of the New Patriot Party (NPP) has embarked on a clean-up exercise in Amasaman Market in the Ga West Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region.

The group numbered about fifty (50) including patrons were drawn from all the ten (10) regions of Ghana to clear garbage in Amasaman Market as part of the groups's commitment to the Ghana@60 Independence Anniversary Celebration,on Saturday March 18, 2017.

According to the group which played massive role during the electioneering period which culminated to the land slide victory of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said, it is their social responsibility as citizens of Ghana to help keep the country clean.

Lady Smart, the National Coordinator of the Patriotic Ladies Club (PLC) in a close-up interview remarked that, the clean-up exercise at the Amasaman Market was necessary since the market was engulfed with filth which needed to be cleared, hence keeping the country clean is not one man's responsibility, but a collective responsibility for all.

She added that, since the 60th Anniversary of the country falls on the Month of March, it is prudent that the entire country is kept clean since investors will troop into the country to invest.

She added that, organizing clean-up exercise was a normal activity for them, since they've been embarking on various such activities in most towns and cities across the country during the electioneering period and are committed in continuing in such noble activities.

The group however, called on all social groups and civil organisations to support in any possible to help keep our towns and cities clean.
