MMT Has Not Suspended Operations In Brong-Ahafo Region

Mr Emmanuel Kusi, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Manager of Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL), has denied media reports that the company intends to suspend its operations in the area.

He said the: “MMTL is a public service transport company effectively operating in the supreme interest of the ordinary Ghanaian, hence it cannot afford to bring its operations to a halt at anytime.”

Mr Kusi told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that although the service was faced with operational challenges including the reduction in the number of buses “that does not mean that it will suspend operations at a point in time”.

He said the Management were supporting the Regional Office to deliver quality services to Ghanaians with passenger safety as a trademark and reasonably but affordable bus fares nationwide.

Mr Kusi said the company believed in innovation and had therefore not limited itself only to the carting of passengers and goods but bringing on board new products like parcel and courier services for Ghanaians to derive the maximum benefit from.

“We are vibrantly in business and will remain so in contributing to the speedy socio-economic development of the country,” he said.
