Beware Of Fraudulent "NSS Agents" - National Service Secretariat Warns

The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has cautioned the general public against the influx of fraudulent persons posing as "NSS agents" and duping people with an assurance of getting them postings to their places of choice.

The management, in a statement, noted these elements have been circulating messages on social media to lure their victims.

According to the management, they have been spreading messages as below:

"Looking for an opportunity to get an NSS posting of your choice or a better placement/posting for NSS?Don't worry any longer. Contact our agency to adequately sort you out at a non-negotiable Registration fee of GHC 385. 100% refund if you don't get the posting of your choice. Contact us through Whatsapp ONLY on 0270107500
Limited Space - Contact Us Now!!!".

The Scheme is therefore urging all prospective personnel to disregard such messages.

NATIONAL SERVICE POSTINGS; BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT "NSS AGENTS"

It has come to the attention of the management of the National Service Scheme that some unscrupulous persons have taken to extorting sums of moneys from prospective national service personnel with the assurance of getting them postings to their places of choice.

These elements, in pursuit of their agenda are circulating messages on social media to lure unsuspecting prospective personnel in the form stated below:

"Looking for an opportunity to get an NSS posting of your choice or a better placement/posting for NSS? The Scheme calls on all prospective personnel to disregard such messages. Such individuals have no authority to influence the process of posting national service personnel. Management thus admonishes prospective personnel to report such unscrupulous persons to the Ghana Police when approached in this regard.

The Management of the Scheme has notified the Ghana Police Service to apprehend such persons engaged in the act of extorting moneys from prospective service personnel.
