J.B Danquah Death; Family Petitions Akufo-Addo For Fresh Investigations

The family of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, J.B, Danquah Adu has petitioned President Akufo-Addo to institute a fresh investigations into his death.

The family quotes the police to have claimed that the accused person, Daniel Asiedu, who was recently committed to stand trial for murder, robbery and conspiracy to rob,  once said that he was hired by someone to go and kill the MP.

Asiedu during the committal proceedings was inconsistent with his defence. He once mentioned he only went to the house to steal and it went bad, and on another occasion also said it was the uncle of his girlfriend who set him up.

“So we believe that there is someone behind it that is why we are calling on the President to start fresh investigations into the whole case,” Mr Kweku Solomon, spokesperson for the family said.
