Politician cum businessman, Hassan Ayariga has said that he sense mischief in NPP�s attempt to fight small-scale miners popularly known as galamsey.

According to the Founder of the All People's Congress, the anti-galamsey campaign by the Nana Addo-led government is rather a strategy to �find work for his people on the same mining land�

Speaking on NEAT FM�s morning show, �Ghana Montie�, Mr. Ayariga was emphatic that, government's effort to stop the operation will heed to nothing.

�Do you want to hear the truth? This is just a change of government strategy to put their people in there. Most galamsey operators are NDC supporters. So any government who comes would have to force them to stop so their people can also work� he said. 

�We are not fighting galamsey, we are fighting political witch hunting. Who gave the people the permission to work on the land?� he questioned.
