The Exclusive Jewellery Art Show is an avenue for bead and jewellery designers to Market, Sell and Advertise their wares without the distraction of clothing.

It was an idea created by two business partners in the fashion industry, namely Herman Ofori Macmillan, who is the CEO and plays the Executive Position role and Adi Plahar, the Chief Operations Officer who plays the role of producer of the show.

The idea is to have a three (3) day exhibition for jewellery and accessory designers. The last day of the exhibition is crowned in the evening with a grand fashion show, exclusive for only bead and jewellery designers dubbed the Exclusive Jewellery Art Show. The previous event was held at the Golden Tulip, Kumasi city in 2015.

It is in this light that the organizers of this event auditioned models for their next show over the weekend, at the plush Swiss Spirit Hotels Alisa. The models went through a very competitive audition that took over 7hrs.

The judges used the following criteria in their selection;

Judges were very particular about models SKIN QUALITY. It should be smooth and beautiful
Mid section of model, i.e; stomach, should be flat Bony models were not needed for this show. Models should be slim but soft Beauty of models were essential, since this is a jewellery art show
Good legs were important, hence the reason they asked the models to wear shorts for the

audition
It’s a run way show, so height was very important. Models were to be at least 5ft 8inchs and above. Very pretty models who were 5ft 7”, were considered. The Exclusive Jewellery Art Show is a theatrical run way show, so models were expected to communicate with their hands, eyes, lips, contours, etc
Body proportions were also essential. Beautiful contours were an added advantage The personality of the model also counted. 

In all, twenty-two (22) models were selected; 18 female models and 4 male models out of a total of almost a 100. The panel of judges that selected the models comprised of the following personalities; Adi Plahar (Head Judge), is a multiple award winning personality in the fashion industry and also the Vice President for Fashion Council Ghana; Roslyn Mould, a former model and president of the Models Association of Ghana (MAG).

She is also an executive member of Fashion Council Ghana and president of the Humanist Association in Ghana. Zuleika Lorwia a wife of a former Minister of State and current C.E.O of State Enterprises Commission, Hon. Asamoah Boateng. She is a former model who did a lot of advertising campaign for ATL. Djoulde Bocoum, an International Super Model and brand ambassador for the Exclusive Jewellery Art Show 2017. Barbara Asanne is a versatile young woman, a former model and co-founder of Models Association of Ghana (MAG). Siba Saps is a former run way model, Exquisite Model of the Universe and Personnel Manager for grooming for unique talent.

Selected models for the Exclusive Jewellery Art Show will be taken through vigorous rehearsals by a very experienced run way coach, Freddie Asa-Awuku. They will learn various choreographic routine specifically designed for the show.

The Exclusive Jewellery Art Show is organised by Spice Events and supported by Digital Innovations, Swiss Spirit Hotels Alisa, Fashion Council Ghana and the Ghana Culture Forum.
