'Gen Mosquito Now Living In A Rat Hole' - John Boadu

Acting General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has lambasted Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for blaming President Akufo-Addo for the death of late Major Maxwell Mahama.

According to him, it makes no sense for Asiedu Nketia to politicize the death of the former Military officer who was lynched by residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region on Monday May 29, 2017.

He said, Asiedu Nketia was embarrassed following the backlash from well-meaning Ghanaians.

"The statement issued by Asiedu Nketia was embarrassing and disgusting, he erred big time and I think he has learnt his lessons. I don’t think he would have done the same thing if he [Late Mahama] was his family member,’’ John Boadu said.

The NDC, he noted, should allow well-meaning members with compassion to go through Asiedu Nketia’s statements before issuing them to save the party from public ridicule.

John Boadu further indicated that there was "no need" for him to "respond to Asiedu Nketia’s un-Ghanaian statement" which was widely condemned by the general public.
