Otumfuo, ‘Despite’, Special Ice CEO, JJ & 3 Others To Receive G.O.D Award

Dr. Osei Kwame 'Despite', the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Despite Group of Companies; Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong, CEO of the Special Ice Company Limited together with five (5) other eminent Ghanaian personalities, have been nominated as recipients for this year's Global Official For Dignity (G.O.D) Award.

The seven, include the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor; Hon Kennedy Agyepong, NPP MP Assin Central; Dr Samuel Amo Tobbin, CEO of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals and Atinka Media Village and Mrs. Janet Abobigu, CEO of Unijay Limited, a Kumasi-based uniform manufacturing company, are being honoured for their enormous contribution towards the betterment of humanity.

They join other world's greatest humanitarians who are bridging the gap in power and influence to the peace and welfare of the human race.

Dr Osei Kwame and Dr Ofori Sarpong are being honoured for supporting widows, students and undertaking other humanitarian projects. The two are being given the title ‘Men of Ghana 2017’.

Apart from the seven personalities from Ghana, other dignitaries across the globe including: Filipino professional boxer and politician Emmanuel Dapidran "Manny" Pacquiao, are also being honoured.

The honours will be done them at the upcoming 5th G.O.D. Awards which will be held at the United Nations in New York in August 2-4, 2017.

The G.O.D. Awards honours the 'Greatest Humanitarians of the World' to raise universal humanitarianism through the WCH Humanitarian Summit and Crowd Funding Summit. It is mostly attended by luminaries and G.O.D. Awards' most esteemed Honorees, Distinguished Speakers, and VIPs who belong to the upper echelon of Diplomacy, Royalty, Business, Education, Art and Philanthropy.

The award was established to promote, project and to highlight people whose lives have impacted the lives of other people.

Among the past distinguished honorees are: the Founding President of Zambia- H.E. Kenneth Kaunda, 10th President of Bangladesh- H.E. Hussain Muhammad Ershad, 10th President of Croatia- H.E. Stjepan Mesic, Former President of Ecuador- H.E. Rosalia Arteaga, Former Vice President of Kenya- H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, US Senator-Hon. Diane Feinstein and many more world leaders and prominent figures who have improved the world through their loud boisterous voices and immense compassion. 

On Tuesday, representatives from the 'We care for Humanity' team (G.O.D Awards) led by its founder, Her Highness Princess Raden Dato 'Seri Maria Amor Torres, paid a courtesy visit to the premises of Special Ice Company Limited and 'Ship House' which houses Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM, UTV and Peacefmonline.com.

'We Care for Humanity' (WCH) is a non-profit organization, based in California.

It is an internationally recognized organization dealing mainly with current global issues and concerns such as Human Rights, World Peace, Education, Health and Wellness, Eradication of Poverty, Green Environment and Empowerment.
